Dancers of all ages* are invited to the Family Folk Dance, an event for kids and grown ups!
- Learn folk dances from North America and around the world
- Dance, listen, and clap along to extraordinary live music
- Get your wiggles out
- No experience necessary
- Kid-oriented easy (and fun) dances
- Snacks provided
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move around in
- “Meet the instruments” – a chance to learn more about the instruments that make the music we dance to!
- Intergenerational dance – Kids must be accompanied by a grown up
- Dancers without kids are also most welcome – be ready to embrace the chaos!
* All ages – really! Kids who aren’t walking can be carried (slings and baby carriers recommended) and anyone of any age can enjoy the music and lively atmosphere. Grown ups, plan to dance – kids may prefer to have a grown up join them on the dance floor!
